Elder Spirituality Circle
Elder Circles are small interactive groups of elders designed to explore the spiritual dimensions of aging–ways of living life more consciously, more joyfully, and more compassionately; to engage in life’s mending and repair work; to come to terms with mortality, to create a spiritual legacy and to explore opportunities for mentoring and service as we witness our own and each others’ personal transformations in moving from older to elder, from age-ing to sage-ing.

1:30- 4 pm: DUMC Walker Room
In this four part series based on the work of Rabbi Zalman Schacter in From Age-ing to Sage-ing and Rachel Freed in Legacies Matters we will review the past, find wisdom from the lessons of our lives and explore ways to transmit our life lessons and deepest values to future generations through letters and blessings.  We will meet in circle using the Peer Spirit Circle process and the tools of meditation, journal writing,  imaginal exercises and dyad sharing-sharing with spiritual partners in a safe and sacred space.
