Growing in Faith Together
At Davis United Methodist Church, we believe that faith is a lifelong journey shaped by curiosity, community, and the movement of the Holy Spirit. Our discipleship opportunities invite people of all ages and backgrounds to explore Scripture, deepen spiritual practices, and grow in relationship with God and one another. Whether you are new to church or have been part of a faith community for years, there is a place for you here.
Our approach to discipleship
Discipleship at Davis UMC is rooted in the Wesleyan tradition of thoughtful, compassionate, and justice‑oriented faith. We value:
- Open and inclusive conversation We welcome questions, diverse perspectives, and honest exploration.
- Scripture study grounded in grace We read the Bible through the lens of God’s love, justice, and mercy.
- Learning in community Faith grows when we learn with and from one another.
- Accessible pathways for all No prior knowledge is needed. Come as you are.
- Spiritual practices that sustain life Prayer, reflection, service, and study help us live out courageous love.

Bible Studies
Our Bible studies offer a welcoming space to explore Scripture in community. Groups meet throughout the year and often focus on themes such as the Gospels, prophetic voices, Wesleyan theology, or spiritual practices. These gatherings are conversational, inclusive, and open to all—whether you’re reading the Bible for the first time or returning with fresh curiosity.

Book Groups
Our book groups engage with works that deepen faith, challenge assumptions, and inspire compassionate action. Selections often include spiritual classics, contemporary theology, justice‑focused writings, and seasonal reflections. Book groups typically meet weekly or monthly and are open to newcomers at any time.
