For Such a Time as This: Hope and Forgiveness After the Charleston Massacre
The UC Davis campus book project (CCBP) is planning many activities and events related to the topic of gun violence in the US. On October 23 from 4-5 at the Conference Center Ballroom B, Rev. Sharon Risher will speak on race, gun violence, faith, hope, and her journey to forgiveness. Her mother and eight other Black parishioners were gunned down during worship by a White Supremacist in the Charleston massacre at the Mother Emanuel AME church. This talk is free of charge.
