In response to the anticipated temperature peak on Wednesday, July 3, Davis United Methodist Church is opening a Pop-Up Emergency Cooling Center in its Fellowship Hall from 2:00-8:00 pm. Restrooms, drinking water, internet, and outlets for phone charging are provided. Board games and jigsaw puzzles will also be available. Well-behaved pets are welcome if vaccinated and must be leashed or in a pet carrier.
The church is located at 1620 Anderson Rd. Please direct inquiries to the church office at 530.756.2170. Please note that DUMC is a non-smoking, alcohol and drug-free campus.
DUMC members: can you help? The Cooling Center especially needs
1. Electrolyte drinks such as Gatorade or Powerade
2. The LOAN of large camping/picnic water dispensers such as Igloos to dispense cool drinking water in Fellowship Hall for visitors
3. Bottled water for guests to take with them as they leave
