Over the course of 7-weeks, questions and curiosity will be encouraged as we explore the essentials of United Methodist worship, theology, and history, and the structure of the administrative, spiritual formation, and social justice service opportunities at Davis UMC. We will consider what it means to be a follower of Jesus, people who are “baptized” into his way and how we are confirmed as a professing member of the faith and a member of DUMC.
Parents who have had their children baptized already or who are considering the baptism of their children are also encouraged to attend. Pastor Brandon will facilitate the class with church leaders from within and beyond the congregation.
Attendance of 5 of the 7 classes is considered essential for a meaningful understanding of what it means to be a member of the church. The seven-week “Discovery” class series will be repeated September 17th – October 29th. Please direct your interest &/or questions to Pastor Brandon at revboffice@davisumc.org or call 530-756-2170. For those that are considering becoming members, please fill out (as much as you feel comfortable) and return a copy of the New Member Biography and either bring it with you to the first class or email it to the church office and Pastor Brandon.
