Rooted in Tradition, Open to the Spirit
Our worship blends traditional and contemporary elements, honoring the Christian story while placing it meaningfully in our modern context. Services are led by Pastor Emily Pickens Jones, our music team, and lay leaders who help shape a thoughtful, inclusive, and spiritually grounded experience.
A Community of All Ages
Children are always welcome in worship. Activity bags and family‑friendly seating are available, and we encourage kids to participate in ways that feel natural and comfortable. We believe worship is strengthened when all generations gather together.
Music That Lifts the Spirit
Music is central to our worship life. You’ll hear choir, piano, instrumental music, and occasional guest musicians. Our music ministry helps us pray, reflect, and celebrate.
Inclusive, Justice-Rooted Theology
We use language and liturgy that reflect our commitment to welcome, compassion, and justice. Worship invites both heart and mind, encouraging us to grow in faith and to live out God’s love in the world.

After Worship
Each Sunday we gather for Fellowship Hour with simple refreshments and conversation. It’s a wonderful way to meet people, ask questions, and learn more about life at Davis UMC.
